Frequently Asked Questions
Who can fly?
You may refer here for our flight criteria.
How does the wind tunnel work?
Two wind tunnel fans channel vertical airflow through the wind tunnel. Wind speeds of up to 270km/h will guarantee the most realistic simulation of what it feels like to jump from an aeroplane at 12,000 feet.
What will I experience?
The duration of the entire AltitudeX experience is approximately 90mins and conducted in groups. Upon check in, you will enter the training room for the preparatory safety briefing and training conducted by a certified instructor. You will then head over to the second level for collection and fitting of flight gear before the instructor brings the group into the wind tunnel for the flight. Everyone in the group will take turns to fly one by one with the instructor. After your flight, you will also receive a flight certificate! Each skydive simulates the conditions and the duration of an actual free fall from 12,000 – 3,000 ft in the sky.
Do I need training?
To ensure the safety of our guest, each package includes an engaging flight training session. Here, our certified
flight instructors will teach you the necessary free-fall techniques and hand signals used during a skydive. This
equips you with the knowledge and the confidence to fully enjoy the AltitudeX experience.
Do I need to wear anything special?
The facility is fully equipped with the necessary flight equipment – this includes flight suits, helmets and
goggles that will be issued to you after checking-in. For comfort, you may choose to be casually dressed –
avoiding collared shirts, dresses, skirts and other revealing clothing. It is also advisable to wear tightfitting covered shoes or trainers with laces. If you do not have the appropriate shoes and socks, you may choose to rent the footwear at our facility.
